Is Katharine McPhee having more problems with her vocal chords?
An insider tells me that the American Idol runner-up has had to delay the release of her debut album because she hurt her voice late last month while belting out Whitney Houston's hit "I Have Nothing" at the Carousel of Hope ball in Beverly Hills.
A rep for McPhee confirms that the record has been pushed from Nov. 28 until sometime in December. A new date has not been decided yet, the rep says.
This past summer, McPhee missed the start of the American Idol tour because she said coughing from bronchitis and laryngitis "bruised" her vocal chords. While her rep insists it's nothing as serious this time around, he confirms that McPhee has taken couple of days off because she is "resting her voice." He says, "She will be back in the studio tomorrow."
Well, I guess that's what happens "all eyes are on you", right? Whitney put a curse on that ass!
