A Hot Mess!: Avril Lavigne: 2 Punk Rock 4 This

Avril Lavigne: 2 Punk Rock 4 This

Wednesday, October 04, 2006

Just when we thought Avril Lavigne was done being an annoying douchebag who makes shitty music, it appears she's reclaimed her douchebag status, at least. Remember those wedding photos of her and that guy from Sum 41? I thought that was the last we'd see of her. But no, she's back to her old "punk" tricks, like signing autographs with "Fuck You" and spitting on people.

I guess we only have ourselves to blame for still paying attention to her. I mean, when was the last time she had an album? A soundtrack cut? A cameo on The Surreal Life? Let's get it together, people.

Chris Brown: "Bow Wow, you're the man!"
Bow Wow: "No, Chris, you're the man!"

It's nice to see Bow Wow was able to put Chris Brown murdering his ass on the basketball court behind him in order to do a track together. Is this the 2006 version of The Coreys? God, I hope not.

John's "Check This S#!t Out" List

1. The Evolution of Robin Thicke by Robin Thicke. This is the album Justin Timberlake wishes he made. It's got that '70s feel - real soulful and sexy. Guests include Faith Evans, Lil' Wayne and Pharrell. It's that heat! Oh, and for those of you who don't know, YES, he is Alan Thicke's son, aka Papa Seaver.

2. "Raw" Monica featuring Swizz Beatz. The song that should have been the first single off this album. I'm not mad at the piano or the way Monica is riding this.

3. MTV's Little Talent Show. I know what you're thinking, but before you say anything, please tune in, it's on every weekday at 6. MTV actually got it right this time. This is mindless television that you don't have to be embarassed to watch. If nothing else, the judges (who include Making The Band 3's Laurie Ann Gibson, American Idol rejects Kimberley Locke and Constantine Maroulis, among others) make the show with their hilarious facial expressions.
